Membership Information

A critical component of FIASI’s mission is helping its members further their careers through a variety of initiatives, including:

  • By linking businesses and seasoned professionals.  A current list of job postings can be found here (you must be logged in to access).
  • Networking events such as the monthly Speaker Series meetings, which provide a forum for targeted networking opportunities, allowing professionals to broaden their connections in a non-competitive, collegial atmosphere.
  • Informal mentoring arrangements. Seasoned FIASI members frequently make themselves available to guide the next generation of professionals. Mentors outside of a member's firm are particularly useful to gain unbiased perspectives.
  • Social networking. By sponsoring LinkedIn discussions, promoting the real-time sharing of ideas and development of relationships without geographical restrictions.

FIASI periodically sponsors student events for those interested in learning more about a career in Fixed Income. In December, 2012, FIASI held a program titled "The Ratings Agencies in the Post-Crisis World," co-sponsored by Fordham Business School. Nearly 100 MBA candidates met with representatives of the three Corporate Sustaining Members to discuss recent developments affecting credit rating agencies and how they have impacted the firms’ operations. Participants also discussed career related topics such as typical profiles for starting analysts, job opportunities in analytics, what it takes to be successful at these firms and the potential for various career paths. FIASI sponsored a similar career day event at NYU Stern.

  • Tangible savings via 10 complimentary Regular memberships and waived non-member Speaker Series attendance fees
  • Eligible to receive a significant discount on the purchase of a Hall of Fame table
  • Exclusive access to a targeted recruiting pool of seasoned, dedicated fixed income professionals. Through job postings links on FIASI's website and networking events significant savings on recruiter fees can be achieved. Over 75% of active members have been in the industry for more than 10 years.
