Philipp Carlsson-Szlezak is the Chief US Economist at AB Bernstein. Prior to Bernstein, Philipp spent eight years at The Boston Consulting Group, where as Chief Economist he led BCG’s macroeconomics research and client-facing macro work. Philipp was also a Principal at BCG for several years, leading strategy and transformation projects for banks and public sector clients. Prior to BCG, he was a Project Manager at the OECD, where he worked with emerging market governments to improve country competitiveness, as well as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Philipp holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD from the University of Oxford.
