Simon is one of the senior analysts covering European banks at CreditSights in London. After graduating with a degree in Modern Languages from Cambridge University in 1983, he began his career in Midland Bank's International Division (now HSBC). He joined the rating agency IBCA (now Fitch Ratings) in 1987, where he was a Director until 1996, covering banks in various European countries. Before joining CreditSights in 2003, he spent seven years at Deutsche Bank in London, where he was Managing Director and head of European Credit Research.
