Thomas R. Torgerson, Managing Director, Co-Head of Sovereign Ratings, with DBRS Morningstar since 2013. As one of two Group Co-Heads, he is responsible for methodology development and manages the Groups data support team. He oversees analytical work on macroeconomic risk for the global group, and is responsible for sovereign ratings in the Americas and Asia.

Thomas has authored or contributed to several additional DBRS Morningstar methodologies, helping to develop and refine DBRS Morningstars analytical approach to supranational institutions, other public sector entities, and other entities affected by sovereign risk. Prior experience includes 10+ years working on sovereign analysis within the U.S. Treasurys Office of International Affairs.
