The recorded conference is for background, meaning you can use the information discussed by panelists in your stories but you cannot attribute it to the panelists / their organization unless you agree to two conditions:
- Check the quote with the panelist and his/her media relations contact for accuracy to ensure the information will be reflected in the article the way the panelist articulated and meant it.
- Agree that the panelist and his or her organization has the right to veto having the quote attributed to them if they so desire.
If you do not agree with these ground rules, then all content will be off-record and cannot be used in stories you write in any way.
